AMA Newsletter – April 2022
Welcome again to all new Students!
Summer is getting near!
The Pulse Academy member app is working well and new videos are being added updated and added monthly. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, please scan the QR code at the Academy or on our front page of our website for the appropriate app store. Also we will be taking student photos to add to the app for instructors for the new attendance feature coming soon. This will allow instructors to learn student names more easily as well.
SPECIAL NEWS
The Academy will be closed all day for regular programming Saturday April 9th for our Annual Hapkido Seminar. Please plan ahead. Anyone interested may attend, this seminar as it is open to all students 12 & up, parents, etc. There is a cost for this so please contact Mr. Deaver.

Our Youth Martial Arts Students that are Yellow/Orange (May) and above will be sparring soon. (Sparring for this level consists of Hand Gloves, Foot Pads. Students will be hitting pads and bags not each other. Padding is for safety for hands and feet. You may order those from Mr. Deaver These are NOT required but suggested as students have mentioned their hands and feet are hurting when hitting pads.

We are often asked, How Many Days A Week Should You Train Martial Arts
Ultimately, training 2-3 times per week is ideal. Ramping that up to 3-4 times per week as you progress is even better. But never forget that ANY martial arts training is better than none, and there’s no better time to start than now. It really depends on your goals. If you are taking normal, traditional martial-arts classes, most folks will (depending on how much time they have) take 2-3 class lessons per week.
Bring a Buddy Saturday’s Please feel free to bring a Buddy to class. If you know they plan on attending, please email Mr. Deaver so he can send our Academy Waiver for them to fill out electronically before they visit the facility.
With summer getting closer many students are asking about Pausing or Cancelling programs! Click here for our policies
SPECIAL NOTE: Please Wash Hands and use Hand Sanitizer.
Students: if you are not feeling well, sneezing, and coughing regularly, please stay at home until you feel better.
